Dearheart, You deserve a man who loves you wholly, completely, and single-mindedly. What if letting this go is what you have to do so the right man can come into your life? I believe this is so. I am so happy to see you in the space of letting go and letting light in. Stay in touch and let me know when your deserved match arrives. <3

Hello Cynthia! As one other stated, it is definitely no accident I found this on this day. Long story short as possible, ... met a wonderful man.. Shared a wonderful honeymoon period for 1 1/2 years. Came to the transition to the real relationship part, and with his bi-polar, he questioned the dying spark due to stress in both our lives and circumstances as an indication of who we were, could be and his feelings for me. He held it in, judged, and shut down and ran. 2 weeks later, broke up with me after 2 years. I knew he was shutting down way before it happened and tried to give him space. But he didn't want it. We never had the in depth conversation we should have when he broke it off. It was too emotional. We both cried and he said he didn't even know if he was doing the right thing. But in finally doing so after a 1 1/2 month break , he told me he spent 1 month of that with the ex from before me of 3 yrs. Whom he had loved very much and had broken up with him. She pushed him away for a year and he gave up and met me through mutual friends. We were definitely in love and very happy. She saw him moving on (ie FB pics) and started chasing him a few months into our relationship. Turns out she was constantly contacting him throughout our entire relationship. He pushed her away while we were happy, but finally gave in to a sentimental text right around the time we were hitting our turning point, and started emotionally cheating I guess. Losing focus from us. And finally, disconnected. She played a game. And he is easily led by his emotions and fell for it. I tried to look at things logically, and find a way to forgive. I knew many factors went into our initial split. My state of mind at the time, his bi-polar, us just learning each other, and her constantly pulling away his emotion. But when he came back, those first few months, he said he realized he had only been doing what was easy and comfortable. He said he thought he hurt me too much when he shut down. That he realized her game and it was crazy bringing her back in his life. That there was no future with her. I know he believed it. And tried to push her away again. But she still kept her energy present through constant contact, and never let us fully connect again. And now he has chosen her after a year. I feel he was manipulated. Constant frustration for both. Especially her. As I am sure we would have made it through his initial shut down had she not been there initially or had he been strong enough to let her go after our reconnect. Staying strong in realizing her actions were selfish and not out of love. I think she made him feel guilty for coming back to me to explore what we had, though it was never her place to. She never had a right to be in the mix in the first place. He was a very special person. Just trying to be his best through his illness and stay in control. I feel sorry for him she has such a hold on him. He was so amazing to me for a long time. But today, I said no more. I have been stuck. And paralyzed with heartbreak. I just have to accept not everyone is in touch with themselves, knows how to have truly have a relationship, or see through others behaviors to their true selfish intentions. Thank you as I will read this often to help me through this! You are an angel :)

Sooo needed this. I have had a very hard time forgiving someone I thought was my best friend, only to realize he wasn't. He took full advantage of me buy I realize I need to take responsibility for the fact I allowed it to happen. Thank you. I will practice this every day until I feel fully that I have forgiven.
