I’m feeling tremendously grateful, loved, and blessed today and it’s just a “regular” day. I thank the dark times for this. I know that it’s because I have a deep understanding of sadness, loss, challenge, and failure, that I feel this way. I am inspired by the beauty of the trees, the swirl of steam over my tea, and the moody cat who oversees my work.
There’s nothing new happening today. I have a to-do list that’s longer than a menu and still, I can’t help but feel the pure joy of just being here. What makes this feeling even better is reaching out and sharing it with you.
If you’re enduring a dark time, take heart and know that there is great meaning, purpose, and value present for you. Look for it. Seek out the traits and qualities you need to handle this time with grace and emerge wiser and better. This is your growing edge.
And then, know that this time will pass and you won’t always feel the way you do right now. Change is certain. All things change, including feelings. When this time is over the gift of joy from life’s “regular” moments will remain. Just hold on.
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”
—Melody Beattie
Whether you’re struggling, on an up-cycle, or a contented plateau, join me in saying a colossal thank you to life and love.
What are you grateful for today? Leave a comment and let me know. I read all the comments.
I am thankful for the circle of love and encouragement you have created, and all who are in it.
Grateful for having found you via “From Entrepreneurship to Expert”. Even more grateful that you see adversity as a catalyst for achievement; I’m so tired of books where persons are destroyed by adversity – greatness is adversity turned into triumph by an unconquered spirit.
I am grateful for challenges. The darker the challenge the more grateful I am for the light
