“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs,

neither cast ye pearls before swine,

lest they trample them under their feet,

and turn again and rend you.”

– KJV, Matthew 7:6

You will never change another. The decision to change can only be made by the person doing the changing.

You, cannot help anyone without their consent.  Help is a reciprocal agreement to give and receive, the receiver must want the help.

Though you may have a solution to someone’s problem, if they aren’t interested, you will not convince them. Without their desire, no solution will take. They may even resent your attempts.

This is often difficult to accept, especially when we love someone and badly want to help. Let go.

All we can do is focus on ourselves and choose never to be a swine, knowing that in order to improve, we must be willing to change.

We all require some form of help to become our best; be willing and receptive.
