My post for today (which coincidentally was about giving :)) has been preempted because I've learned that Step Up Women's Network is in the October running for a $250k grant from the Pepsi Refresh Challenge!
Step up is comprised of amazing women from across the nation who support each other while mentoring, educating and helping underserved teen girls.
This organization means the world to me because they are precisely what I needed when I was a teen dropout. Today, I am an active Luminary member. I participate in events, mentor and tell everyone who will listen about the effectiveness of the program.
When you change the path of a young girl, you change
the future of the country.
We all need this.
With $250k, Step Up will be able to expand its mission of helping underserved teen girls become confident, college-bound and career-ready.
